Recruitment Plan Candidate Approval Form

In this form, we ask that you review candidates proposed by the resourcing team for your journal. In the Recommended Candidateslist, you will find a list of all the candidates that we have proposed to you. Using the “Approve/Reject Candidate” field, you will be able to indicate whether you wish for a candidate to be considered further, or whether you wish for them to be discounted at this time. If you do not wish to consider a candidate, we ask that you provide us with feedback on the reasons for your decision - this is so that we can improve our suggestions in future. Next steps will differ based on whether invitations to the candidate are being handled externally (personal invite from EiC or publisher) or internally (invite from the recruitment and onboarding team): Internal invitations: All candidates ‘approved’ in the ‘Recommended Candidates’ list will proceed to invitation without any further action required from the EiC or Publisher. External Invitations: All candidates ‘approved’ in the ‘Recommended Candidates’ list will move to a another list, ‘Candidates for EiC invitation’. This will keep a record of the candidates that you (EiC/Publisher) intend to invite personally. After you have invited these candidates, you must indicate whether the candidate accepted or declined the invite using the options available for the “Candidate Response” field. If a candidate accepts an invitation, you MUST indicate this in the system via this form: this will trigger the onboarding process for the candidate. This process is mandatory and a candidate cannot join the journal unless this process is followed. If you have any questions, or general feedback for us, please contact the Resourcing Associate for your journal and we will be happy to discuss further.
